Visit the famous Skistho's Dog Shelter up in the hills , pick up a lovely dog and join our experienced 'hiker' guide for a beautiful walk through the hills. Where you will have the opportunity to to enjoy the breath-taking scenery and nature, whilst giving a dog a well deserved walk .

Next stop is Maria's house a Greek local lady who is passionate about Greek food and cooking. You will learn how to cook traditional Greek dishes and you will enjoy a delicious lunch in a peaceful and tranquil surrounding served with local wine , water and soft drinks.

Walking the dogs was very fun. The cooking demonstration that Maria put on was top notch. The food was amazing. We could imagine how a traditional Skiathos family gathers and enjoys such wonderful meals together. Loved all of it!

Likes: visiting the dog shelter to walk and pet the dogs and meeting the puppies. Trying the Greek cuisine cooked spectacularly by Maria. Dislikes: given the wrong pickup time and location. Also given the wrong pickup company so had to contact the activity providers themselves to help us out.

Lovely trip, meeting all of the beautiful dogs and the amazing people that care for them was great. The cooking demonstration was so good and the food we were served for lunch was amazing, we loved that. All in all a great day and would recommend

It was great to see and walk the dogs! The shelter staff are very friendly and the dogs are very cute. It’s not really a hike, but more of short walk. Lunch at Calma was delicious! It was a well-planned and executed cooking demonstration of the dishes that we were served. Maria is charming and friendly! We loved it.

Took one of the dogs for a short walk, it was too hot to have them out any longer. Lovely thing to do and after we were picked up we called at a supermarket so could get some dog food or bits and bobs if we wanted, astounding the number of people who chose not to though! We were split into 3 groups and each person walked one of the dogs, probably about 15/20 minutes we were out which was plenty considering how hot it was. The volunteers at the shelter do an amazing job, the dogs seem well looked after, but they just need a forever home! The cooking lesson was fantastic, Maria was lovely and so talented and the food, oh my goodness, delicious!! Beautiful place too. It’s definitely a trip worth doing and we had a lovely time 😊
